Vocabulary: Get it Right

Words matter. They can heal; they can hurt.

Pronouns: Use Them

Why? It's inclusive. It invites others to do the same. It opens up a conversation. She/her; ze/zir; they/them; he/el. Whatever your pronouns are, use them and display them.

  • LinkedIn allows you to display your pronouns on your profile. Find out how here.
  • I introduce myself this way: "My name is Catherine Hyde and my pronouns are she/her."

  • Join and donate: PFLAG, HRC, ACLU, Lambda Legal, your state's Equality organization
  • Get training; get more training
  • Partner with an organizational development professional with LGBTQ+ experience
